IF YOU RECREATE in Elk River this affects YOU!!!! Those participating will be responsible for their own transportation, food and water. The Forest Service will guide vehicles from Elk River to selected wites, provide further info about the project and your input is needed. The plan is to return to Elk River by 4 pm both days if these days are inconvenient and you would still like to provide input or have any questions about the project or the field trips please contact Kara Chadwick by phone 208-875-1131 or in person at the Palouse Ranger District office, Potlatch Idaho. Santa Claus is coming to town! On Christmas Eve, Santa will once again, make a special stop in Elk River. He will ride around town on the fire engine to let everyone know that he has arrived. Go meet him at the Welcome Sign Board at 6:00 pm to receive your sack of goodies from Santa.
